The Quicksand Experience: Help Get Unstuck!

I talk to so many people who are stuck. I have been stuck. The experience is like having your feet in quicksand and running as fast as you can. No matter how much force you exert, no matter how fast you run, you don’t seem to move.
Does this sound familiar to you? Have you had that experience?
When you are working hard in your business and have this experience, consider the cause of the quicksand experience is a ghost from the past.
What do I mean? Something happened in the past that is still bothering you. Maybe you failed at something and are still blaming yourself or blaming someone else or blaming some circumstance. OR maybe you feel like you have tried everything you know how and nothing seems to make any difference- and you unconsciously have decided nothing will make the difference. OR you have been successful, but the experience was not what you expected or something happened that you did not want, so you unconsciously don’t want to be disappointed again.
What is it for you?
How you discover this is fairly simple (although not always easy as it does take courage to face the ghosts of the past and to tell yourself the whole truth!).
First, where are you stuck in quicksand?
Next, what are you saying to yourself about this?
Now comes the tricky part- but the crucial one— what does this experience remind you of in your past? When you discover this for yourself you can also discover that you likely made some decisions. That is the linchpin. What did you decide?
When you see that, you will also see that you are still operating out of those decisions (but were likely unconscious to them).
Now, you can examine the decisions made that you are still operating out of and see if they are producing the results that you want (Probably not, because you ARE stuck!).
Whatever happened, failure, disappointment, blame all can be let go of through the process of seeing what happened really- and what you decided. Forgive yourself. Forgive them. Get circumstances were never personal. What happened, happened- you don’t need to keep carrying around the past with you, weighing you down. You can simply look at it, forgive and let go. When you let go…. YOU FREE YOURSELF to get moving again.
