Why Actions Speak

We have all heard the saying “actions speak louder than words”. Why is that?
Look at your own behavior- how often do you say something, even make a promise to yourself or someone else, and then break that promise? If you are like most of us, the answer is often.
Every time you do that, you erode the trust you have in yourself, and the trust others have in you. Simple. And the solution is simple- stop it. Easier said then done- eh?
Well, if you always do what you say or communicate fully that you did not or will not be doing what you say, you will alter your relationship with your ‘words’. Stop making empty promises you have no intention of keeping. Tell the truth. Or when you did intend on keeping the promise and you did not, man up- and admit it and deal with the consequences. If it was to someone else, ask them what would make a difference to them to have them trust you again and what would make up for you not doing what you said. Then make a new arrangement. It is simple- not always easy ,but simple.
Give it a try and see if you can gain some trust in your words speak the same as your actions and how much power you will gain!
